Busted have said they still get on well with ex-member Charlie Simpson, but he isn't joining the McBusted supergroup because he "isn't ready".
Matt Willis and James Bourne, who were part of the original Busted line-up with Charlie, recently announced they were going on tour as a supergroup with McFly, calling themselves McBusted.
But although Charlie isn't joining them, he tweeted his support: "Just wanted to say that though I am not joining @mattjwillis and @JamesBourne on their new venture, I wish them all the very best with it!"
Charlie split from the trio in 2005 to focus on his own career, but James told the Daily Mirror there were no hard feelings: "We've hung out with him... We went round his house actually for the first time about a year and a half ago. It was very comfortable and easy."
He added: "He's not ready to do this yet - we don't know if he will - but we are good friends. People like to make out that we aren't because it's good drama... I spoke to Charlie yesterday on the phone and he's doing his thing. He's got his album he's working on. We are good friends."
Matt told The Sun he was looking forward to going on tour with his McFly mates, who hadn't been allowed to party with him in the past before he beat his drink and drug demons.
He said: "When we toured together before, our management would keep McFly away from me after gigs. They'd say, 'They're not coming out with you, Matt!'
"We weren't allowed to hang out as I was a bad influence, apparently. Now we can - because we'll just drink some camomile tea and play Fifa."
