Britney Spears begins work on eighth studio album
IT HAS been confirmed that Britney Spears has begun to record her eighth studio album, the follow up to 2011’s ‘Femme Fatale’.
She has teamed up with writer Elijah Blake for the new record, who has previously written songs for Rihanna and Usher.
The writer said: “I think her fans will be surprised by it. I would say it's definitely the 'unexpected' Britney in so many ways, in that she's playing with new textures and stomping on new grounds and genres."
He later responded to a Britney fan’s tweet by adding: “I've definitely had the pleasure of starting on something I think is going to be big with her.”
The singer’s latest song with Will.i.am entered the Irish charts at number eight last week – however it looks set to do considerably better in the UK where it is expected to hit number two behind the X Factor winner James Arthur's single.
