Last week the Womaniser singer tweeted a picture of herself with the band - who supported her at Sunday's Manchester gig - and wrote: "So the boys from @thewantedmusic came to my Wembley show & we hung out backstage! Love them!"

Nathan, 18, admitted: "It was superb, we popped in to her gig just to say hello and introduce ourselves ahead of the gig on Sunday. It's really exciting, she's really, really nice. And she's not crazy at all!

"When we do manage to go over to America next year and people see us, they'll hopefully remember that's the band that Britney was tweeting about, that's when it really comes into good use. I think any artist would love to crack America, I don't think any artist would say no to it."

Nathan also revealed that The Wanted are big fans of Justin Bieber after supporting him on tour in Brazil.

"I think all of The Wanted have got Bieber Fever. Not in the fan girl way - we don't see him and start screaming, but we genuinely all like him as a human being and he's a great performer as well.

"Some people love him, some people hate him but he's a really, really talented kid. There's no ego there at all."

:: The Wanted's new album Battleground is out on Monday November 7.
