JUSTIN Bieber has admitted that his mother was not planning on having him and that the teen superstar only exists because of an accident.

Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, was just 18 years old when she gave birth to the Canadian superstar – the age the singer himself is now.

Bieber was speaking to Australian radio station 2day FM. He described his mother as “amazing” and said: “I was definitely an accident; it's great my mum is super young. She's a friend and a mum. She's always been really strict, she still keeps me in line”.

The teen has previously recorded a song about his mother called ‘turn to you,’ and at the time he said he recorded the song for his mother because of: “the struggles she went through and how brave she was”.

Bieber continues his promotional tour down under today, when he heads to New Zealand. During a recorded performance for Australia’s Got Talent a 14 year old fan had to be restrained from storming the stage in an attempt to get close to the teen idol.
