Arcade Fire top of album chart
Canadian rockers Arcade Fire are celebrating their first No 1 in the album charts.
The Suburbs, the band's first album for three years, reigned supreme ahead of Eminem's Recovery in second place.
The release is their third album with their second, Neon Bible, having reached second spot in 2007.
Singer Ne-Yo was on top in the official singles chart with his new single Beautiful Monster, which pipped Club Can't Handle Me by Flo Rida Ft David Guetta.
The two releases remained in close competition throughout the week, before finishing with Ne-Yo in front with 10 per cent more sales than its rival.
Ne-Yo's chart-topper is his third No 1, following 2006's So Sick and 2008's Closer, and means he has now sold more than two million singles in the UK during his career.
Yolanda Be Cool Vs D Cup, Eminem Featuring Rihanna, Wanted, Travie McCoy, B.o.b, Eliza Doolittle, Swedish House Mafia and Katy Perry complete the top 10.
The second highest new entry was Choices by The Hoosiers at number 11 - giving the band their third top 20 hit in the UK.
