Alicia Keys launches own jewellery

Alicia Keys has added another string to her bow, as she launched her jewellery collection.
Wearing a turquoise leather jacket and gold polo-neck, the Grammy Award-winning singer - who will be performing on The X Factor this weekend - showed off the range of necklaces she co-created with The Barber's Daughters designer Gisele Theriault at the Collette Blanchard Gallery in New York.
"I fell in love with the individuality of the pieces, but more than that, the words that were written on them really resonated with the songwriter in me," Alicia told Women's Wear Daily about the designs, which feature precious metals and gems and are inscribed with inspirational messages.
"I knew at that moment, for the first time, that through a whole other medium I would be able to spread inspiration, and that's what got me started."
Alicia first met the jewellery designer when she was touring in Toronto. Her collection, which has already been snapped up by Halle Berry, will be available next year.
