Agent fined over Justin no-show
A concert promoter who was allegedly duped into booking Justin Timberlake for a gig in the Philippines has been awarded 1.2 million dollars in damages.
In a lawsuit in Bridgeport, Connecticut, ALV Events International president Arnold Vegafria contends he paid Kofi Degraft Johnson to showcase Justin at a concert in 2008 - but the singer never appeared.
Vegafria says he learned Johnson had no authority to schedule concerts for Justin.
Vegafria's lawyer, Russell Green, says his client ended up with a lot of disappointed people.
A telephone message was left on Wednesday for Johnson, who was not charged criminally.
The judge says he never responded to the lawsuit.
