Adele rents 10-bedroom mansion after Grammy success
SINGER Adele has celebrated her success by moving into a £7m country mansion - and opened her doors to TV cameras to have a look inside.
The property is a former convent and contains 10 bedrooms, two swimming pools, a helicopter hangar and landing pad, tennis court and a media centre - all set on 25 acres in West Sussex.
She's currently living there with her boyfriend, 36-year-old Simon Konecki.
It's a far cry from the cramped London flat she used to share with her mother in West Norwood and the bedsit she lived in alone in Notting Hill.
Inviting US TV host Anderson Cooper in for a tour, she told him: "After my first record I moved out of my mum's to Notting Hill on my own. My life fell apart. My phone got cut off, my credit card got cut off, the house was a mess. It was awful. So I moved back in with her."
After winning six Grammy awards at the weekend, Adele has barely left the headlines and caused a stir yesterday when she hinted she may take a five-year break before quickly playing down the comments.
