Music: Zonoscope by Cut Copy ***

Occupying that Venn diagram space where indie and dance merge, Melbourne quartet Cut Copy know their way around a dancefloor anthem. Going Nowhere -- their breakthrough hit from 2004 -- perfectly encapsulates their crossover appeal.
If this third album mainly fails to reach the highs of previous offerings, it's certainly a more consistent affair. It's got 80s retro written all over it, as it takes snatches from the big hits of yesteryear and fuses them with their own compositions.
The results are playful, frequently engaging and at its best a sort of LCD Soundsystem-lite. The 15-minute closer, Sun God, may outstay its welcome, but it's the most essential track here.
