Worthington: I fell into acting
Avatar star Sam Worthington has revealed he became an actor by accident after auditioning for drama school to support his girlfriend at the time.
The 33-year-old Australian actor - who also stars in Clash Of The Titans - was working as a bricklayer when he accidentally got into acting.
Sam revealed to OK magazine: "I was a bricklayer, I built houses and fell into acting because of a girl, as most actors do."
He explained: "She wanted to go to drama school in Australia, and I went along to do an audition for moral support basically - but I got in. She didn't and she dumped me a week later, so that was the end of that."
But Sam has gone on to become an international movie star and was in the running to play James Bond before Daniel Craig was cast.
He insists he was too young to play 007 at the time.
He revealed: "I got down to the final three, though they chose the perfect man for it. At the time I was a bit too mentally and emotionally young to take something of that calibre."
