Winding Refn's thrills for Deyn
Nicolas Winding Refn is excited to see what Agyness Deyn would bring to the Pusher remake.
The British model will be taking on her first major role in Luis Prieto's English language adaptation of Nicolas' iconic 1996 thriller, alongside Richard Coyle and Bronson Webb.
"I'm kind of excited to see the film. I'm very interested in that Agyness model. I think that she is really good and I think that she has a huge career ahead of her," he said.
The Danish filmmaker - who directed Drive with Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan - is giving the remake his thumbs up by taking on an executive producer role.
"My friend Rupert Preston is producing the Pusher remake and I was just there to help if they needed anything," he said.
"Pusher was the film that launched my career and to have Luis Prieto direct the remake in London will be an exciting venture. It's a classic tale with strong characters and has an engaging narrative."
He promised: "A remake of Pusher in London promises to be a powerful project that will excite the world. This will not let you down."
Filming on the new version of Pusher is now complete, following a five week shoot in London's Shoreditch and Dalston in May and June, with a release scheduled for 2012.
