Will Smith bites into biblical role
Will Smith is to play biblical bad boy Cain in a modern-day retelling of the Cain and Abel story.
The Hancock actor will star in The Legend Of Cain, an epic adaptation of the siblings from the book of Genesis, which will be given a "vampiric twist".
Deadline reported that the star will also produce the movie with wife Jada Pinkett Smith, and Overbrook Entertainment partners James Lassiter and Ken Stovitz.
There is no studio or director attached yet, although the script has been written by Will's brother-in-law Caleeb Pinkett and Dan Knauf.
Will, who has been busy promoting The Karate Kid remake starring his son Jaden, which he co-produced, will start filming Men In Black 3 in August.
