White: I'm actually a nice guy

Michael Jai White has revealed he is not as feisty as his on-screen alter-egos.
The US actor, who has played superhero Al Simmons in 1997's Spawn and has shown his fighting chops opposite Jean-Claude Van Damme in Universal Soldier: The Return and Steven Seagal in Exit Wounds, said he's a nice guy in real life.
"Oh, my bad-a*s is pretty much for the screen, I'm a really nice person - I think! But I 'look' really intimidating," he said.
"I could be thinking about gumdrops or whatever, but it would still look I 'm about to kill you, just because I have this appearance. But I'm only bad-a*s if I have to be. I think life is to be enjoyed. I'm far more jolly than anything else."
Michael - who next stars in blaxploitation spoof Black Dynamite - is glad he doesn't look like ex-CIA agent Black Dynamite.
"Luckily, I don't look like Black Dynamite, so I'm not branded with that," he said.
"Every day I run into this. Someone will say, 'Look! That's Black Dynamite!' and someone else will say, 'Nah. It can't be the same guy'. Which I feel happy about. If I looked like myself, doing Black Dynamite, it wouldn't be too good for my career."
