WATCH: A Christmas Star - Irish film with Pierce Brosnan, Kylie Minogue, Liam Neeson brings a touch of Christmas magic

Festive movie A Christmas Star is narrated by Hollywood legend Liam Neeson and features a cast of new, young Irish actors.

They appear alongside stars such as Pierce Brosnan, Bronagh Waugh, Richard Clements, Kylie Minogue, and Downton Abbey's Robert James-Collier and Julian Fellowes.

A Northern Irish schoolboy who was bullied because he is mixed race has overcome his difficulties to land a role in a movie opposite Hollywood legend Liam Neeson.

Northern Irish schoolboy Patrick Roe (12), from Dromintee, was plucked from obscurity to audition for a role in the movie when his music teacher discovered his talents.

He beat 7,000 other hopefuls to win the role, the first film from Cinemagic which aims to give young people insight into and opportunities within the film and television industry.

Patrick will play a computer whizz kid in the film which follows the character of Noelle who believes she has the gift to perform miracles.

So when conniving developer McKerrod threatens her peaceful life she and her friends determine to use this gift to thwart his plans and save their village.
