Warwick Davis wants Star Wars role

Warwick Davis is hoping to be cast in the new Star Wars film

Warwick Davis has admitted he would like to be in the new Star Wars movie - but he hasn't been asked.

The actor played an Ewok in Return Of The Jedi and also appeared in the first film in the prequel trilogy, The Phantom Menace, and confirmed he would love a role in the upcoming movie, Episode 7.

Asked if he would be seen in JJ Abrams' eagerly anticipated movie, he replied: "I'd like to bet that we can expect to see me, but I haven't been asked.

"I usually have to drop loads of hints. It's what I had to do for Episode One. I used to have to send lots of faxes to George Lucas just to remind him that I was still around. It would be lovely to have a little cameo."

If Warwick, 43, does get the call, he revealed he has a part in mind.

"I'd like to play a villain this time; someone from the Dark Side. Perhaps wield a lightsaber..."

Warwick can soon be seen in Jack The Giant Slayer and the Blu-ray marking the 25th anniversary of his hit movie Willow is out on March 11.
