Mark Wahlberg has revealed starring in Ted helped him prepare for his role in Transformers 4.
The US actor admitted working with the computer-animated bear on Seth MacFarlane's comedy made him feel more at ease with the idea of working with the green-screened giant robots.
"Ted was a good tool to prepare me for this. Having to identify with things that aren't there. The bear prepared me for that," he told Empire.
"And as embarrassing as doing things like the fight sequence with him were - throwing myself around a room for 12 hours while the crew just sat eating sandwiches and watching - it taught me how to do this s***."
Mark stars alongside Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor in the fourth instalment of Michael Bay's hit franchise, Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
The 42-year-old was persuaded to sign on after working with the director on Pain And Gain.
"Michael has got a lot of great people around him, but he's still driving the train," he explained.
Transformers: Age Of Extinction will be out in July 2014.
