Twilight fans pitch up for premiere
Twilight fans have begun camping outside the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles ahead of the Eclipse premiere on Thursday.
Twi-hards formed a mini-tent city in their bid to be front of the queue to scream and catch a glimpse, and a possible autograph from stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, who play Bella, Edward and Jacob, when they attend the red-carpet premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
Fan Stephanie Getzsman who is camping out said: "I came from North Dakota, my friend is here from New Zealand, we met last year at New Moon so we came here together. Just camping out and having a blast with everybody."
Twi-hard Vanity Salgado revealed: "Well we left my house yesterday at five am. We came and we camped out over night just to be able to simply get our wrist bands and now we are just waiting for the premiere. Yeah people say I am crazy but it's fun."
Fan Kristen Lambert claimed: "Everybody started charging the line. We were like 'oh my God' I thought this was only in movies that people get stampeded all over. It was an interesting experience, there is a first for everything."
About 9,000 wristbands are being handed out to fans, who began erecting tents Monday on concrete steps outside the theatre. Nokia officials, who have issued a list of camping rules, say the wristbands must be worn until the premiere is over.
The film opens in cinemas on June 30.
