Tom Felton joins Rise Of The Apes
Tom Felton has joined the star-studded cast of Rise Of The Apes.
The Harry Potter actor - best known for playing Hogwarts bully Draco Malfoy - will star as the son of the villanous co-owner (Brian Cox) of an ape sanctuary in the follow-up to 2001's Planet Of The Apes.
20th Century Fox announced the news through their Twitter account, writing: "Another cool addition: Tom Felton (Harry Potter's Draco Malfoy) joins Caesar: Rise Of The Apes as Brian Cox's son, co-owner of ape facility."
While his on-screen dad has no compassion for the animals that live in the facility, it is not known if his son will share the same qualities.
The cast already includes James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow and Andy Serkis.
The prequel is set to begin filming later this month and is currently aiming for a June 24, 2011 release.
