Titans beats Date Night in US
Sam Worthington's Clash Of The Titans has taken down Date Night at the weekend box office in the US.
No 1 bragging rights for the weekend were too close to call after estimates on Sunday, but when the final numbers came in from the studios on Monday they showed action tale Clash retained the top spot for a second-straight weekend with 26.6 million dollars.
Comedy film Date Night - starring Tina Fey and Steve Carell - debuted in second place with 25.2 million dollars, nearly two million less than distributor 20th Century Fox had reported a day earlier .
On Sunday, Fox estimated that the comedy pulled in 27.1 million dollars, about 200,000 more than Warner Bros reported for Clash Of The Titans.
Flip-flops in the box office rankings are rare, but they occasionally happen because Sunday figures are based on projections that can change when studios release final numbers on Monday.
Running a close third was DreamWorks Animation's How To Train Your Dragon, which took in almost 25 million dollars.
