Justin Timberlake is to star alongside old flame Cameron Diaz in new movie Bad Teacher.
Cameron plays a gold-digger who attempts to steal a teacher, played by Justin, from colleague Amy Squirrel when she finds herself single.
Molly Shannon and Eric Stonestreet have also joined the cast of the movie, directed by Jake Kasdan, which is to start filming this month in LA, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Cameron takes the title role as foul-mouthed, conniving seventh-grade teacher Elizabeth Halsey, who is dumped by her sugar daddy and on the prowl for a new boyfriend.
Award-winning British actress Lucy Punch plays Amy Squirrel, Jason Segel has been cast in the supporting role of a gym teacher, and John Michael Higgins will play the principal.
John Krasinski, Joel McHale, Timothy Olyphant, Guy Pearce, Adam Scott and newcomer Cheyenne Jackson are all said to have tried out for the coveted male lead, but it was finally given to Justin.
He and Cameron dated for almost four years before they split in 2007. They both voiced roles in Shrek The Third while they were an item.
