Tim Burton to head Cannes' jury
Tim Burton is to head the jury at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival.
The Edward Scissorhands and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory director said heading up the nine-member jury in May was a "great honour".
Organisers of the French Riviera festival made the announcement on Tuesday in a statement quoting Burton's reaction.
Burton said: "After spending my early life watching triple features and 48-hour horror movie marathons, I'm finally ready for this."
The 63rd Cannes festival will be held May 12 to 23.
The rest of the jury will be announced at a later date.
