MEET Kildare-born twin sisters Christine and Elizabeth Mulhern -- Hollywood's rising stars -- who know a thing or two about taking their martinis shaken, not stirred.
That's because the Gaiety School of Acting graduates have just finished shooting a new James Bond spoof, called 'Spyfail', which is set for the silver screen some time next year.
The identical duo play opposing Bond girls in the swashbuckling parody, complete with imitation firearms, that is sure to get the heart-racing but ultimately leave the belly aching with laughter.
The Naas natives, who were educated locally in St Mary's College before eventually setting off for the bright lights of Los Angeles six years ago, landed their respective roles in the new comedy after meeting with director Paul Wiffen at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
The spoof was filmed in locations across Europe and, as Christine explained to the Irish Independent, the 27-year-olds thoroughly enjoyed working on the film.
"It was really enjoyable particularly in Venice where we filmed on location and went to the film festival there. Venice is really beautiful so it was great to see that, and we filmed in London as well so we got to travel a lot while working on this."
"We did our own stunts and given that it's a Bond movie there's lots of action in it which was lots of fun," Christine said.
