Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz walked up the red carpet for a special screening of The Counsellor in London.
The 39-year-old actress, who gave birth to their second child Luna in July, showed off her post-baby body in a black lace floor-length gown by Temperley London.
The Spanish couple were joined by Oscar-winning filmmaker Ridley Scott, co-star Michael Fassbender and Sigourney Weaver at the low-key event at Odeon West End cinema.
"It was great working with him (Javier), all the others and Ridley, because I never worked with Ridley before," said Penelope.
"When I saw the first scene, the opening scene between Michael and I, it was 15 pages long. It was really interesting for me to have that much material because there's no rush. It's like doing a play in every scene."
Husband Javier added: "It was a gift to have those really long scenes with great partners, so it didn't take me that long to say yes. I also met Ridley Scott, so it was a great opportunity."
The film, which was written by Cormac McCarthy, also stars Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Rosie Perez.
Michael - who plays a greedy lawyer, who gets caught up in a murky world when he delves into drug trafficking - said: "Ridley is a master, so it was an easy choice. I've been a great fan of his for so many years now and so to be in the same room working together was just a real dream for me."
Ridley said assembling the star-studded cast was easy: "I got all of them pretty fast, in a matter of weeks. You would not get this level of cast in one film, so it would have to do with the quality of the script."
The Counsellor opens in cinemas on November 15.
