Swift heads to Les Miserables?
Taylor Swift is rumoured to have been offered a role in Tom Hooper's film adaptation of Les Miserables.
The Grammy-winning country singer is said to have emerged as a favourite for the part of Eponine, which Lea Michele, Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood auditioned for, and has received an offer from the British director, reported Twitchfilm.com.
It would be her second acting role, following her appearance in Garry Marshall's Valentine's Day opposite Taylor Lautner.
Amanda Seyfried - who is set to start shooting Lovelace, in which she plays porn actress Linda Lovelace - could be taking advantage of her opera training after being apparently in talks to play Cosette in the upcoming big-screen version of the hit musical.
Hugh Jackman has already landed the lead role of Jean Valjean with Helena Bonham Carter, Russell Crowe, Sacha Baron Cohen, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne in the other key parts.
Production is gearing up to shoot in spring, with a release scheduled for December 2012.
