Emma Stone is to star opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Woody Allen's next film.
It has just been revealed that the Oscar-nomnated Walk The Line actor will work with the writer and director on his latest project.
Now Variety has reported that Emma will join him in the untitled movie, which is due to begin filming in July.
It is the first time Joaquin has worked with Woody, but The Amazing Spider-Man 2 actress appears in his upcoming movie Magic In The Moonlight, which is set to open in cinemas in July.
Woody has in the past adopted certain actresses as his muse, such as Scarlett Johansson and Diane Keaton, working with them on several films.
Magic In The Moonlight, his 47th movie, is set in the south of France and also stars British actors Eileen Atkins, Colin Firth and Simon McBurney.
The multi-Oscar winning filmmaker's last movie Blue Jasmine saw Cate Blanchett scoop the Best Actress Oscar earlier this year for her portrayal of a fallen socialite suffering a mental breakdown.
