Steven Berkoff has said he's played his fair share of villains - but they've not been "obvious".
The Beverly Hills Cop, Octopussy and The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actor has often been cast in the villainous role.
The 75-year-old said: "Once they cast you one way, that's what happens."
The actor, who was directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck in The Tourist; said."But the thing about von Donnersmarck was he didn't have me playing an obvious villain.
"And in the last film I did, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, directed by David Fincher, I wasn't playing a villain at all - I liked him for that."
:: Steven Berkoff will be appearing at the Performing Arts Industry event PERFORM between March 8-10 at London Olympia. For tickets and further information, visit www.performshow.co.uk.
