Steve Carell has said he enjoys leaving work at work.
The film and TV star doesn't like bringing work home with him, so he can focus on family time with his two children - nine-year-old Elisabeth Anne and six-year-old John - and wife Nancy.
"I don't really talk so much about work, because when I'm home, I just don't feel like it's that interesting for my kids - it's just what I do," he told People.com.
"I don't think it defines me at all in their eyes. And I think the less we make of it, the better off for them, and certainly for me, too."
Steve - who next stars in Dinner For Schmucks with Paul Rudd and Jemaine Clement - revealed his children are following in his comic footsteps.
"My kids doing something funny? Oh boy, they do something funny every day," said the 47-year-old.
"Kids are funny in general because they're unfiltered and they're wise, but they're not jaded by anything.
The comedian and actor added: "Their sense of humour is very pure, and they don't even a lot of times know when they're being funny, because it's just so honest. And I think that's what makes them so funny."
