Starbuck to be remade in France
Hit Canadian comedy Starbuck is set for a French remake.
The Quebecois movie - which already has a Hollywood reboot starring Vince Vaughn in the pipeline - will be reworked for a French audience, Variety reports.
The new film will star Gallic funnyman Jose Garcia and will be directed by Isabelle Doval.
The original movie - which made around three million dollars in France - followed a middle-aged layabout who discovers he has fathered hundreds of children through donating sperm.
Alain Pancrazi and Odile McDonald at Paris-based Made in PM have acquired the remake rights.
Odile said the new version "will keep the same concept while pushing the comedy further and tweaking some of the storyline to make the characters more relatable to French audiences".
Vince's version, which will apparently be called The Delivery Man, also stars Cobie Smulders and Chris Pratt. Vince and Cobie were spotted filming scenes for the flick in Brooklyn Heights, New York this week.
