Stallone lands achievement award
Sylvester Stallone has picked up the Hollywood Career Achievement Award at the 14th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala.
The Rambo star was flanked by fellow screen tough guys and Expendables co-stars Bruce Willis and Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger as he accepted his gong at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
The event was full of Hollywood beauties in dazzling dresses, including 44-year-old Halle Berry in a plunge-necked sparkling sliver sequinned mini-dress and Hilary Swank in an eye-catching off-the-shoulder red number.
Carey Mulligan scrubbed up and stepped out for the event in a chic, blood-red gown amid reports she is living in a budget Hollywood hotel following her split from Shia La Beouf.
Helena Bonham Carter wore a black lace number with hobnail boots and won the Supporting Actress Award for The King's Speech, which also picked up the Director Award for Tom Hooper.
Annette Benning scooped the Actress Award for her role in the Oscar-tipped The Kids Are Alright and Zach Galifanakis, star of The Hangover and Due Date, won the Comedy Actor Award.
Actor and Director Sean Penn was given the Humanitarian Award while Danny Boyle and Chris Colson, co-producer of his gripping new true-life drama 127 Hours, about a climber forced to cut off his own arm in a bid to escape death, picked up the Producer Award.
New Spider-Man Andrew Garfield was named Breakthrough Actor, and Swedish star of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace took home the Hollywood Spotlight Award.
