IT stars Amy Huberman, Chris O'Dowd, Stephen Rae and Simon Delaney.
It was secretly shot at Ardmore Studios in Bray, Co Wicklow, in recent weeks, and the stars of Irish film and television will gather to watch a trailer for it at the National Convention Centre this Saturday, during the industry's annual awards ceremony.
There's only one catch with the new Irish film 'Confused': it doesn't exist. Some of the country's top acting talent have collaborated on a spoof trailer as a comedy opener for this year's Irish Film and Television Awards (the IFTAs).
"It's a crazy movie trailer for a stupid film that doesn't know what it's about," comedy actor Chris O'Dowd said.
The slick trailer features a confusing series of chase sequences, confrontations, and flashbacks for a nonsensical plotline. IFTAs' host Simon Delaney asked Mr O'Dowd to be involved after recently playing a part in Mr O'Dowd's new comedy 'Moone Boy' .
"Simon's in my show so I felt like whatever he asked me to do, I had to do it," said Mr O'Dowd, who is nominated in three categories at the awards.
The 32-year-old has revealed that US network NBC may not go ahead with a series he penned about an male weight loss group called 'Big Men'. He said he was busy with other filming and writing a second season of 'Moone Boy'.
