Rafe Spall has said his experience working with Ang Lee will stay with him forever.
The One Day actor plays a writer in Life Of Pi, Lee's adaptation of the acclaimed fantasy novel by Canadian author Yann Martel.
Rafe said of the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon director: "It is daunting to work with Ang Lee, it's scary. You want him to think that you're a good actor.
"He's very specific and he works incredibly hard but all in all you feel like you're breathing rarefied air, you feel like not many people get this opportunity, to work with this great of cinema.
"And there's a reason his films are so great, it's because he's extraordinary with actors ... He's so precise and to have that opportunity to be directed by him is something I'll take with me forever."
Londoner Rafe also had to take on a Canadian accent for his role in the movie.
"We try don't we, we try. It was basically an American accent with a few 'outs' and 'abouts' thrown in there, sorry Canada," he joked.
"No I worked really hard on it, I had a brilliant accent coach and I gave it my best shot."
