Christian Slater could soon be putting on his blue suede shoes and white skintight suit to play an Elvis Presley wannabe in Guns, Girls And Gambling.
He would join Gary Oldman and Dane Cook in the stylised crime thriller from writer-director Michael Winnick, said The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog.
The True Romance star is in the frame to play a guy who joins an Elvis impersonation contest in a drunken stupor, while Gary is the contest's mega-contender.
Dane, who starred in My Best Friend's Girl alongside Kate Hudson, would play a corrupt sheriff.
Guns, Girls And Gambling looks set to be a comedy of sorts, featuring Elvis impersonators, modern cowboys, a six-foot-tall blond assassin and a prostitute as they hunt a priceless artefact stolen during a poker game at a casino.
Shooting is expected to kick off on July 6.
