Amanda Seyfried has branded the acting world "twisted" for putting so much emphasis on being thin.
The 24-year-old, whose boyfriend is Mamma Mia! star Dominic Cooper, believes she would not have been cast in the hit musical if she had been too big.
Amanda told Glamour magazine: "If I didn't run and work out, there's no way I would be this thin, but I have to stay in shape because I'm an actress - it's so ... twisted, but I wouldn't get roles otherwise."
She added: "If I'd been bigger I don't think they would have cast me for Mamma Mia!"
But the Mean Girls star, who gets naked with Julianne Moore in new drama Chloe, confessed she loves to eat.
She said: "If I have to diet, it's salad with protein, salmon and broccoli, no dessert. But what kind of life is that? So I work out a lot and I'm just pretty moderate about what I eat. That's not to say I didn't eat a quarter of a jar of cream cheese before I came out.
"Dominic's standards are higher than mine. He's picky about things, He needs a good meal, a good bath and a good cup of tea. Me, I love to eat canned spaghetti."
Amanda also admitted she hates seeing her boyfriend kissing in films.
She said: "I get jealous when other women are cast in movie role I wanted. But I also get jealous seeing Dominic kissing other actresses on screen. That's never good. I actually prefer not to see it. It's unnatural what actors have to do."
