HOLLYWOOD actress Scarlett Johansson is expecting her first child and already she has perfected her maternity style.
The starlet was spotted today wearing a pretty peplum dress that cleverly concealed her baby bump during the promotional trail for her new movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
She wore a black and white dotted dress with her soft caramel hair pulled gently from her face and silver drop earrings that added glamour for the premiere in the Chinese capital.
The mum-to-be didn’t let her pregnancy rule out some killer grey suede heels.
At the London press conference for the new flick, she said she was ‘‘forever wounded’’ because of the action movie role.
‘‘I am forever wounded from these movies. I have old injuries from Iron Man 2 and I keep re-injuring them. That's part of the joy and part of the process, I guess,’’ she said.
Scarlett resumes her role of the Black Widow for the Marvel sequel and is due to reprise it again for the Avengers follow-up.
The star is around five months pregnant according to E! and TMZ, but she recently told the Huffington Post everything is on schedule to begin shooting the hotly anticipated return of the Avengers.
The A-list star enjoys doing as much original stunt work as possible and enjoys comparing injuries with her male co-stars.
‘‘As you sustain more injuries over time, it hurts for longer and things like that, but I guess I like to do as much of the stunt work as possible and you take a little bit of a risk with that.
‘‘I'd rather that than to hand off my scenes to the stunt team. As amazing as they are all the time, I'd rather do some of it and have some battle wounds. That way, I can compare bruises,’’ she added.
The 29-year-old actress is engaged to French journalist Romain Dauriac, the owner of an independent advertising agency.
He proposed to the acting star over six months ago with a vintage Art Deco diamond engagement ring.
She previously dated actor Josh Harnett for two years before she married Ryan Reynolds in 2008.
The couple divorced three years later in 2011.
The BAFTA winner has starred in hit movies such as Lost In Translation, The Avengers and Iron Man 2.
