Rowling: Emma mortified by kiss
JK Rowling has revealed Emma Watson fell off the sofa laughing at the first suggestion she would have to kiss Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint in the Harry Potter films.
The author told how she used to discuss what she was planning for the characters with the young stars of the film before she had finished the books, and Emma guessed the upcoming romance between her character and Rupert's character Ron.
JK said backstage at the Baftas: "I was having a girlie chat with Emma in her dressing room about three or four years ago and she said, 'I think I'm going have to kiss Rupert, aren't I?'
"And I told her if I write it the way I think I'm going to write it you're going to have to snog both of them, (Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint) and she was absolutely mortified and rolled off the sofa laughing."
Emma explained: "I was only 14 and the idea was absolutely... they're like my brothers!"
JK also revealed London mayor Boris Johnson is not happy about the Harry Potter theme park being in America.
Asked if she would like there to be one in Britain, she said: "I'm smiling because I sat next to Boris Johnson at a dinner not long ago and he took issue with that also.
"I will be completely candid and say I think the Florida climate is more conducive to it, although it is a little surreal because it's snowy.
"If they could do it as well as they have in Florida I would love that."
