Ryan Reynolds reckons he's had his full quota of superheroes

Ryan Reynolds has claimed he has reached his superhero limit.

The Proposal star has played Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Green Lantern in Green Lantern, and is rumoured to be reprising his role as Deadpool in a forthcoming solo adventure.

"I think I've reached my quota," he said at WonderCon in San Francisco, reported The Playlist.

"I don't want to get into the Deadpool thing; there's too many unknowns there. But if we do make it, it'll be the right way: full on."

Ryan, best known for his comedic roles in Just Friends and The Proposal, defended his casting.

"The movie isn't The Dark Knight, and it isn't a comedy at the same time. It is somewhere in between," he continued.

"A lot of the moments of levity you've probably already seen. I wouldn't say it's pervasive throughout the whole film. When he's arrogant and cocky at the beginning you see a lot of that, but once he's humbled by this gift it's a different story."
