Eddie Redmayne has revealed that he has blanked out the memory of skinny-dipping with actress Michelle Williams in their new Marilyn Monroe movie - because they got so cold.

The British actor, 29, plays Colin Clark, who ends up chaperoning Marilyn (Michelle) while the screen-siren films The Prince And The Showgirl in Britain.

The pair had to film a romantic scene in a lake, on what was supposed to look like a "bucolic quintessentially English summer's day" in the movie, My Week With Marilyn.

But Eddie told Digital Spy: "Unfortunately we were shooting at exactly this time last year... It was a blue sky day and the sun was shining ... but it was ridiculously cold.

"Michelle and I were covered in dressing gowns and hot water bottles and then they would shout 'action' and we would rip off our scenes, jump into the lake, speak the lines, kiss, get out again, then get into a bath.

"It was so cold that I have no memory of that scene," he said.

"It's meant to be this romantic moment ... I think we both ended up on oxygen with various doctors and insurance people going 'are you all right?'."
