Rapace tipped for Brilliance role
Noomi Rapace could be starring in thriller Brilliance alongside Will Smith.
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo star is being tipped to take a role in the big-screen adaptation of Marcus Sakey's novel, reported Deadline.
Will, who has been considering the project since February, is in talks to play a character named as Nick Cooper.
The film, which will be directed by Julius Onah and has a screenplay by David Koepp, is set in a world with people born with extraordinary abilities, known as "brilliants". One federal agent uses his hunting gifts to hunt down a terrorist, another "brilliant", who plans to start a civil war.
Noomi, who found international fame after playing troubled computer hacker Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish language films in Stieg Larsson's Millennium series - The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets' Nest, has since starred in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and Ridley Scott's Prometheus.
The 34-year-old actress next stars alongside Tom Hardy in Daniel Espinosa's thriller Child 44, and will reunite with Tom on crime drama The Drop alongside James Gandolfini. She is also expected to reprise her role as Elizabeth Shaw in the Prometheus sequel.
