Pettyfer to deliver in Paperboy?
Alex Pettyfer has reportedly been offered a role in Lee Daniels' next film, The Paperboy.
The English actor, who is expected to top the US box office with sci-fi adventure I Am Number Four this week, is being courted by the Precious filmmaker to star in the big-screen adaptation of Pete Dexter's 1995 novel of the same name, reported Vulture.
The Hangover's Bradley Cooper and Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara have also received offers to appear in the thriller.
Alex would play the college drop-out and narrator Jack, who helps out his elder brother Ward (Bradley) investigate the murder of a rural sheriff and find out whether the death-row inmate convicted of the crime was responsible, with Sofia portraying the prisoner's wife.
Lee, who directed two-time Oscar-winner Precious, is working on Selma, a film about Martin Luther King Jr and Lyndon Baines Johnson's lives around the signing of the Civil Rights Act, due to be released this year.
