Peter Serafinowicz on voicing Macca

Peter Serafinowicz has admitted he couldn't contain his excitement at providing the voice of Paul McCartney.
The actor and impressionist, who lent his dulcet tones to Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode One - The Phantom Menace, is providing the voice of the former Beatle in Robert Zemeckis's remake of Yellow Submarine, due for release in 2012.
Peter, who has already spoofed a voice of Macca for his BBC Two show a few years ago, said: "How can you not be a fan of him for a start? Obviously from watching my show, you'll know that I'm sort of obsessed with the Beatles, and that was one of the things I managed to get out of my system on the show was that I could do all my Beatles impressions, you know?"
But Peter didn't give away much else about Yellow Submarine.
"It's going to be later on in the year. To be honest I haven't got too many details about it, but I'm on board, and that's really all I know at the moment, other than Zemeckis's sort of 3-D, CGI psychedelic vision, his reimagining of this whole thing, and he's a huge Beatles nut, so I've got every faith that it's going to be something really special," he said.
