Katy Perry and Britney Spears ensured that the Smurfs 2 premiere was a family affair, as they brought their nearest and dearest to the event.
Despite rekindling her romance with fellow musician John Mayer, Katy - who reprises her voice role as Smurfette - was accompanied by her grandmother Ann Hudson, who wore a T-shirt emblazoned with the phrase, "I've got the hots for Papa Smurf".
Britney, who features on the film's soundtrack, was accompanied by her two sons - Sean Preston, seven, and six-year-old Jayden James - as she attended the Los Angeles premiere at the Regency Village Theatre in a figure-hugging blue bandage-style dress.
"Getting ready with my baby boys to head to the #Smurfs2 Premiere. They are bouncing off the walls :)" tweeted the Toxic singer. She later wrote: "Awww! #Smurfs2 was super cute! The boys loved it."
Katy, who wore a blue Tadashi Shojidress and Pedro Garcia heels, revealed that she and long-time collaborator Bonnie McKee worked with Britney on the track Ooh La La!, telling E! News: "Me and Bonnie secretly did some background vocals on that song. So maybe listen for our voices."
The premieres in LA and New York took place on the same day, which was labelled Global Smurfs premiere day, while London hosted a blue-themed afternoon tea party, which David Harewood, Charlie Brooks and Right Said Fred attended.
Stars Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Patrick Winslow, and Jayma Mays (Grace Winslow) also attended the LA premiere, while Christina Ricci (who voices Vexy) and Hank Azaria (villain Gargamel) stepped out for the New York premiere at Lighthouse International Theatre.
The Smurfs 2 opens in UK cinemas on July 31.
