Sean Penn is apparently in negotiations to star in action thriller Prone Gunman.
The Oscar-winning Milk actor would play an international operative in the movie, based on a Jean-Patrick Manchette novel, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Sean's character "is betrayed by the organisation he works for and must go on the run in a relentless game of cat-and-mouse across Europe" in the film.
No director is attached yet to the project, which will be produced by Silver Pictures.
Sean can next be seen on screens as Mickey Cohen in the crime drama Gangster Squad. The star-studded cast also includes Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling and Josh Brolin.
