Pattinson too old to be Reese's son
Robert Pattinson has confessed how uncomfortable he felt about playing Reese Witherspoon's son in Vanity Fair.
The 24-year-old Twilight heartthrob stars alongside the 34-year-old Oscar winner in new movie Water for Elephants, in which they play lovers, but he admits it's weird remembering playing Reese's son in the 2004 costume drama.
Robert told Entertainment Tonight: "It seems like it's been so long ago now - I remember even on the set, I thought I looked too old to be her son."
Reese, who was aged with make-up to play the scene, added: "He was walking down this corridor and I turned to the director and I said, 'That's my son? He's so good looking!' I was like, 'He's so hot!'"
Now the couple are really enjoying working together on their new movie, about forbidden lovers, in the film based on a bestselling book of the same name.
Reese said: "I am so lucky. He's so amazing and wonderful and sweet and just the nicest guy too, so you can just add that to the soup.
"I mean, he's just so good-looking and he's a really nice person.
"We'll probably just laugh the whole time, because all we do is just laugh and joke around."
Robert added: "She's great. I think every time where there's a love scene, though, I get beaten up."
