Pacino honoured at Italia arts fest

Al Pacino was honoured with the Jack Valenti LA Italia Legend Award

Al Pacino joked he had "been around long enough" to accept the lifetime achievement award at the Los Angeles Italia Film, Fashion and Art festival.

The Scarface star was honoured with the inaugural Jack Valenti Legend Award, presented to him by his good friend Larry King, celebrating his long and successful career in showbusiness.

Al said: "It's a lifetime achievement thing. A legend, ok I accept, I've been around long enough to accept that."

The Godfather star showed off his Italian as he walked the red carpet, saying: "Arrivederci, ciao, see you later!"

Oscar-nominated film Silver Linings Playbook was also celebrated at the festival, with awards given out to director David O Russell and actors Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The festival is also set to honour Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino.
