Oscars not the drive for Cruise
Tom Cruise has revealed that winning an Oscar isn't his main aim in his career.
The Mission: Impossible star has received a hat-trick of Academy Award nominations for his performances in Born On The Fourth Of July, Jerry Maguire and Magnolia.
He told Empire magazine: "It would be fun, but it has never been a driving factor for me. For me it is always about the fact that I get to make the next movie.
"I'm constantly looking for things, but it's always, 'What is the character? What is their story?'," he added.
"You know, I am not going to say no. I just enjoy the process of working with a director," he said.
Having enjoyed big-screen success for the past 25 years, the 51-year-old revealed he wants to continue working in the film industry in years to come.
"I have a dream that I will do this for the rest of my life in any capacity," he said, quipping: "How old is (Clint) Eastwood?"
