Oscars losers to get lavish goodies
Leonardo DiCaprio, Amy Adams and Steve McQueen could all find themselves taking home a party bag worth 55,000 dollars (£33,000) even if they lose out on the awards themselves at the Oscars.
Nominees who don't win in the Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress and Best Director categories are set to get a runner-up prize of a luxurious gift bag to soften the blow, according to Variety.
Company Distinctive Assets are putting together Everybody Wins goody bags for the losers on the night, which will include 10,000 meals of Oscar host Ellen DeGeneres' Halo natural pet food to donate to the animal shelter of their choice and a wine and chocolate flight pairing.
Other gifts include watches, bracelets, luxury holidays to the Canadian Rockies, Mexico and Japan, teas and spa treatments.
Distinctive Assets founder Lash Fary said: "To be part of the film industry's biggest night on any level is thrilling. We always look forward to introducing celebrities to an array of companies with fabulous gifts to share, but it's particularly fun to be able to do so when you know it will truly brighten someone's day."
The Oscars takes place on March 2.
