One more Hangover for Phillips
The Hangover 3 will be the final film, director Todd Phillips has said.
The filmmaker admitted at the movie's Los Angeles press conference that he already has an idea for a third movie, which is "certainly not in the same template you've seen these movies", according to Collider.
"We don't even know if we are going to do a third one. If we are going to do a third one, it won't involve a wedding and it won't even involve this template," he said.
"I have an idea it will be the end of The Hangover. It was always imagined as a trilogy, and it will come to an end," he added.
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifinakis, Justin Bartha and Ken Jeong reprise their roles in the eagerly awaited sequel, which will hit UK screens on May 26.
Todd insisted they hadn't even thought about a third outing yet.
"Quite honestly we really haven't talked about it as we just finished the movie two weeks ago, and this is the first time we've all been together in awhile," he continued.
"If we were to do a third one, if the desire was there... The most I could say about it - and I haven't discussed it with these actors - is that it is very much a new idea. As far as where it takes place, I'm very open ... to being pitched and presented cities... flown around with wine and women and bribed and then I will make my decision," he quipped.
