Chris Noth has said he's not feeling positive about Sex and the City 3.
The US actor, best known for playing Mr Big, has doubts over a follow-up to Sex and the City 2, telling Parade: "I don't see it happening. But what do I know?"
"I'm always pleasantly surprised if they do one, and I'm not disappointed if they don't," he added.
Kim Cattrall has also cast doubts over reprising her role as man-eater Samantha Jones: "I really don't think so, maybe in a prequel. But I don't know."
Co-stars Sarah Jessica and Kristin disagree.
"I think there's one more story to tell, I know there is. I'd definitely tell that [third] story, and I know Michael (Patrick King, creator) would do it right. But maybe not now," Sarah Jessica told Los Angeles Times' 24 Frames. And Kristin told Access Hollywood: "Of course I'm game!"
Chris, who now stars in The Good Wife, preferred the franchise when it was a little-known TV series.
"I miss the early days before it became sort of a circus of attention, when it hadn't become this iconic thing. It was just really good writing and entertainment, and then it became something else that I still don't really get," he revealed.
"It actually got to the point with the movies that we had to make up plotlines so that people wouldn't know what we were doing and expose it and it be all over the papers."
The 56-year-old added: "That was pretty crazy. You used to be able to go under the radar and have fun."
