No more Anchorman for Will Ferrell
Will Ferrell has insisted that there will not be an Anchorman sequel.
The funnyman, who said that the follow-up was at "a brick wall" last May, has now confirmed that Paramount have no plans to make a second film, reported Collider.com.
However, Will revealed that the Step Brothers sequel is still in early stages.
The actor would return to reprise his role as Brennan Huff, with co-star John C Reilly as his brother Dale Doback. Writer-director Adam McKay is also expected to return.
Will - who next appears in Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters opposite Gemma Arterton and Jeremy Renner - said that "they are going to start writing a script really soon" with the hope of filming it in the autumn.
He previously said that a sequel would only happen if all three were back on board. "We're maybe playing around with the idea of that. We would have to all three do it. Totally," he said.
