Nicolas Cage heads for Dark Highway
Nicolas Cage could play a man on the run in supernatural thriller Dark Highway.
Canadian director Bruce McDonald is hoping to sign the Ghost Rider star for the lead role, reported the Halifax Chronicle Herald.
"Now it's all about timing, and everybody's schedule," he told the Canadian newspaper.
The film, to be produced by Sigurjon Sighvatsson, is about a man who is being chased but can't distinguish between reality and imagination.
Nicolas - who is reprising his superhero role of Johnny Blaze in Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance - has been filming drama Stolen with Malin Akerman.
The 48-year-old is also set for forthcoming appearances in thriller The Frozen Ground alongside John Cusack and Vanessa Hudgens, and DreamWorks animation The Croods opposite Ryan Reynolds and Emma Stone.
